Nearly $1 Billion in Crypto Bets Liquidated as Bitcoin, Ether and XRP Slide

Leveraged positions worth nearly $1 billion were forcibly closed over 24 hours as bitcoin fell around 3% to near $81,000, ether dropped more than 5% to about $2,350, and XRP declined roughly 5%. Ether accounted for the largest share of liquidations despite its smaller futures market.
