Advertising Policy

Last updated: 25 September 2026

Nathan Theodore may display advertising, sponsored posts, affiliate links, or newsletter sponsorships in order to support the site. This Advertising Policy explains how commercial content is sold, labeled, and kept separate from editorial work.

Editorial and advertising are separate

Buying an advertisement does not buy a story. Sponsors and advertisers have no right to review, edit, delay, or kill editorial articles as a condition of spending money with us.

People who write and edit editorial articles do not set advertising rates or approve individual ads as a favor to a source.

How commercial content is labeled

We will identify commercial content so a reader can tell it apart from independent reporting. Labels may include "Advertisement," "Sponsored," "Partner content," "Presented by," or "Affiliate link," depending on the format.

Native-looking articles that a brand has paid for will carry a clear sponsor label at the top of the page, not only at the bottom.

What we will and will not accept

We reserve the right to refuse any advertisement. We will not knowingly accept ads that:

  • Promote illegal activity, scams, or unregistered investment schemes.

  • Promise guaranteed returns on cryptocurrency, forex, or other speculative products.

  • Use misleading claims about health, weight loss, or medical treatment.

  • Contain adult content, hate speech, or material that exploits children.

  • Impersonate Nathan Theodore or mimic our editorial layout in a way that is likely to confuse readers.

Acceptance of an ad is not an endorsement of the advertiser, product, or service.

Affiliate links

Some articles or pages may contain affiliate links. If a reader clicks a link and later buys a product or signs up for a service, Nathan Theodore may receive a commission at no extra cost to the reader. Where affiliate links are used in a material way, we will disclose that relationship on the page.

Newsletter and other placements

Sponsorships may appear in the Nathan Theodore newsletter, in homepage modules, or beside articles. Those placements will be marked as advertising or sponsored.
