A video recorded by drone in central China’s Hubei Province has captured a rare albino Asian black bear moving through the trees of Shennongjia National Park.

The footage shows the bear climbing a tall tree, scratching itself on branches, resting, and feeding on wild fruit. Observers described the animal as appearing calm and healthy.
Shennongjia National Park, which includes a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, is noted as an important habitat for Asian black bears. The white coat results from a genetic mutation rather than a distinct species, making such sightings exceptionally uncommon in the wild.

The recording was made without disturbing the animal, according to reports on the incident. Local conservation efforts in the area have been credited with supporting biodiversity, though experts note ongoing challenges from habitat pressures.
