Bankman-Fried: I shouldn’t have filed for bankruptcy it was a mistake – Vox
In an interview with Vox, Bankman-Fried said that he regretted his decision to declare bankruptcy and criticized the regulators for making it public. The FTX founder sincerely regrets his choice, and it appears that he will carry this regret with him for the rest of his life.
Later, he stated on Twitter that the interview’s purpose—which featured the continuous exchange of messages on the same platform—was not to make the information publicly available.
It was a mistake to file for FTX bankruptcy – Vox
Alameda Research is one of FTX’s main connected firms, despite the fact that FTX, which filed for bankruptcy the week before, has nominated new independent directors to manage its bankruptcy transition. The newly chosen directors and Chief Executive Officer John J. Ray are working arduously to guarantee that the bankruptcy process is seamless and compliant with all legal requirements.
He declared, “Raising the money is really all that matters to me for the rest of my life. His largest error was “Chapter 11”. If he hadn’t done that, clients would have received full compensation and withdrawals would have started in a month.
Additionally, he added, regulators do not ensure that everything runs well. He explained that they treat consumers badly and don’t consider the consequences of their behavior for the customers.
Ray tweeted that Bankman-Fried was never identified as an FTX representative and didn’t advocate for the organization’s cause. In his interview, Bankman expresses regret for his conduct and reiterates that declaring bankruptcy was a grave error.
